I'm soccer crazy!

Everybody who knows me knows i love to kick a ball around. In the heath or in the flat - it doesn't matter where. If there's a ball within reach i must kick it!

So daddy thought it would be nice to share some pictures of me doing my favorite thing. He hopes you enjoy them!

This one is me in hampstead heath. I'm not kicking here, but I'm pretty psyched.

This one is from when we went to Paris. We were in a square, near a pretty church. There were tourists everywhere.

Here's another one from the same square.

This one is from the other day when it was snowy in London. I was kicking the ball all around hampstead heath. I ran a lot that day!

Here's me posing for the camera. Yayy!

And here's a quick little video of me dribbling the ball on our trip to Stockholm this past summer. I was pretty young then, only about 15 months old. I'm a lot better at it now!

Snow or bust!

There was a bunch of snow the other night when we were walking home from the tube, so I had my first snowball fight! Here's a video of me and mommy and daddy.

Time to catch up!

Hi Everybody! Merry Christmas!!

It's been a while since I've posted, the summer and fall have just been too fun. Now that I know how to run and hide and jump and climb better, Mommy ends up pretty tired at the end of the day. And on the weekend, I wear Daddy out too. Daddy and I have started watching football matches on the computer and I love seeing them kick the ball. Whenever there is a goal I yell "Goal!" with glee. So far I've only seen the Tottenham Hotspurs in action, but I'm sure there are more teams in my future.
I have also learned how to scribble and play with Play dough. My favorite thing to do with the play dough is to cut out little coins and then stamp them with patterns. Mommy and I put these into jars and containers and parade them around the living room.

I've also started really being a helper in the kitchen. I have learned how the mop and broom go back and forth and that when we're cooking I can, very carefully, pull my stool up to the counter and watch. Sometimes I get to help stir or put things in.
In September, Mommy and I went to Cologne to visit our friends Sabine, Jan, Annick and Ian. I had so much fun playing with Annick and Ian, even though it was very very cold the whole time we stayed there. We still went to the parks and playgrounds and had a great time. One day we went to Annick's kindergarten and she rode me around on a bicycle for my first time and I LOVED it!
I'm still only going to Gymboree but I'm very busy having fun with my friends Zephyr, Jasmine and Alafair most days. We go to the playground or play at each others' houses.

I'm very much looking forward to Christmas this year. I already have seen and played in the snow. Mommy and I made snowballs yesterday and threw them at the wall in the shower. Oh boy! What fun.
Finally, I have to let everyone know I have discovered a food I love (among many others!) Sweetcorn! Mommy and Daddy let me eat it off the cob and it is delicious AND fun.

Big big hugs and cuddles to everyone! See you all very soon.

busy busy little me

I've been so busy! I've gone to four new countries this summer (just passed through two but I have my passport stamps!) Brussels (via France), Sweden (via Norway) and then home again. I hope one day I'll remember my adventures or just keep reliving them until I get old enough to remember on my own.

I've gotten so much better at walking, running and kicking the soccer ball. I practiced in The Grand Place in Brussels, the parks of Stockholm and then at our friends' home in Greksnas, Sweden where we spent time in the gardens and by the lake.

And I'm learning to play the harmonica!

When people come to visit, I've been practicing talking and giving speeches. Then again I also practice at home when it's just mommy and daddy and me. I've learned to say Daddy and I'm starting to learn how to call out to him.

Here's a video of me doing one of my favorite things- getting tickled and laughing with Mommy and Daddy.

See you all soon!
More milestones to come.
xoxo

I can walk and I'm trying to jump!

Well, that day has now arrived. I'm keeping my Mommy and Daddy on their toes, walking all over the place and at the playground I try really hard to run, especially if there are big kids or a ball in front of me. Mommy made a video of me walking today and doing a little dancing as well. Here it is so you can all see. Or just come and visit us and come play with me!

Learning to walk, more playgroups and making friends

Things have been pretty busy around here since I took my first steps. Mommy and Daddy spend most of their time watching me practice my walking and plopping down, but lately there's been more stepping than falling. Boy is it a workout! Now when I take a nap, it's usually for a couple of hours, because I'm super beat.
But walking sure is fun.
I'm getting pretty good at picking things up while I'm standing, usually an empty box or a ball. If it's a ball I normally try to toss it to Mommy or Daddy. If it's a box I try to walk it to them or put it up on a table or the couch. Very serious stuff.

Mommy and I started a new playgroup called Sing and Sign. I like singing so much Mommy thought it might be something I'd like. So far it is fun! All of the other kids in the class are my same age and they mostly walk better than I do, but it's a good challenge. After the last class mommy and the other mums went the a cafe and had lunch. I was so tired I fell asleep even though there was a big 3 year old birthday party happening right behind us!

The other day at the under 5s playground I made a new friend- Freddie. He's British and he's 4 and a half! We played a lot, things like chase the baby, dig in the sand and bang on the balance beam. My favorite thing was going down the slide sitting up on Freddie's lap! Wow! That was so fun I squealed. His little sister Esme played with us too, she's 2 and I think she's very pretty. I flirted a lot with her. Mommy didn't take any pictures, but I think we'll probably be seeing Esme and Freddie again soon.

Today I am ONE year old!

My cousin Olivia laughs when my mommy and daddy say I'm 8 months old or 6 or 10, she says "He's ZERO!" But now I am one. Today is my birthday. I am so excited. Mommy and Daddy gave me a cake with candles, I got some really nice presents which I love a whole bunch.
Here's a picture of me with a few things I love.

Have a safe trip home Grandma and Popo!

I just had a really fun visit with my Grandma and Popo, who flew here all the way from Pasadena, California. It seems like they just got here and this morning we already had to say goodbye. We had lots of great adventures, we had lunch out at some pretty nice places- Harrod's Georgian Room (where they had someone playing the piano the whole time, which was cool), The Soho Hotel (where I have lots of friends since we stayed there a whole week back in January) and Daddy joined us from work when we went, we also went to Grandma and Popo's favorite pub called The Mitre. It's very old. Established (whatever that means) in 1547. Wow!
Here's a little video of us there:

We also went on a barge ride on Regent's Canal from Little Venice to Camden on market day.
The boat was so full of people that a school group from Spain barely fit at the last minute. But good thing they did, I got to flirt with a teenage girl who sat right behind me. She let me play with here hand a little bit. Here are some pictures:

During their visit we also did lots of fun things like Gymboree and just cuddling, playing and laughing back at our flat. It was really fun spending a long time with them.
My mommy said that Grandma and Popo won't get back to Pasadena until after I go to bed tonight. I hope they're not walking 'cuz then they'd probably be pretty pooped!

My new house! Or I guess, they call it a flat here...

My mommy and Daddy are pretty sure a lot of people live in our new building. At our front door there are three doorbells.

This lady named Alice showed us our flat on a very long day when we saw 14 places! Here's Alice opening our front door. It's pretty big! I don't think my stroller will have any problems getting inside.

And here's my room! It has a secret little closet you can see and an old fireplace that they walled up. Mommy says she's going to make me a toy fire and logs out of felt so I can have a play fire.
And here's my bathtub! Oh boy am I excited! My toys will be so cool floating around in there and I think that rail around the end os for me to balance.
This is the view from my bedroom window. Mommy says it's called a dormer. There's a neighbor over there who has a pool. I wonder if they have kids I'll play with one day. There are lots and lots of kids in Hampstead.

This is the room across the hall from my room. Who knows, maybe one day I'll have a little brother or sister who has their room there.

This is the view from Mommy and Daddy's room. One of our friends said it looks like Mary Poppins lives there... I wonder who that is?

This is the fireplace downstairs in the living room. When we looks at the flat with Alice I managed to pull it apart pretty quickly. Mommy and Daddy will have to be quick on their feet! Those bags all around are filled with kid shoes! Our landlady owns a kid's shoe shop, so some of them could even fit me, but I was more fascinated by the fireplace, especially once Mommy said "No!"

I'll have more pictures once we move in next week. And the movers say our things are coming on April 9th, so pretty soon we'll have lots of things to fill the empty spaces. I'm excited to live n our new place. Mommy and Daddy are too!

more fun in the UK!

While on a walk with my Uncle Wayne, we found a great way to go to the zoo... On a boat! That's the boat right behind me. It was sort of rainy on the day my mommy took this picture, but I think I'm going to take my Grandma and Popo there today so I might have better, sunnier pictures soon.
Our first trip we took to Surrey we
rode the train from Waterloo Station to
Walton on Thames where my Auntie
Anne picked us up and we hung out at
her new house. Aunt Anne has a girl
named Lily who is 6 and who fascinates me. When we come to visit, she sets up all of her toys so that I can play (she's getting ready to have twin younger brothers, so he practice is good), and very often she's dressed up like a sparkly princess when she gets home from school and changes out of her uniform.

Here I am for our first trip to Hampton Court Palace

We keep meeting lots of very nice people who know our friends back in the states. One of those people is my Auntie Jaqi, who also lives in Surrey. She was very kind and had us all over for a big lunch and then afterwards we went to the pub next door where I think they like babies a lot! I had a very nice time flirting with a lady there and then I got so tired from all the activity I fell asleep!

Asleep at The Phoenix in Sunbury on Thames

One other really fun thing I've done with Mommy and my Uncle Si is to walk along the south bank of the Thames. I asked Mommy if we could ride on the London Eye and she said yes. We also saw some people making bugs and things out of sand. It was super neato. I think when I get a little older I'm have a greater appreciation of it. Or at least that's what mommy says.
